MELANSON: The family of the late Ernest Melanson would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to all who took the time to somehow touch our lives during Dad’s brief journey with cancer & his passing. Please know how grateful we are to have been surrounded by your shared strength, love, hugs, tears, prayers, cards & food. Special thanks to Evelyn LeBlanc, (Aunt) Shirley Weir & Joan Potter - without you we don’t know what we would have done - you were ‘our angels’ in our time of need. Thank you to the pallbearers (Terry Muise, Terry Margeson, Randy Gidney, Ron Smith, Donnie Carter & Eric Melanson), Michelle Muise for the Readings, Father Keith & all the staff at Jayne’s Funeral Home. Our gratitude to Dr. Lafkovici for his phone calls & home visits, the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the VG Hospital for their compassion, Royal Canadian Legion Br. 20 for the loan of equipment & the use of their hall for the reception, Tim Hortons, Atlantic Superstore, Dick Saulnier & Donna Lee for taking care of the lunch, as well as all mass cards & donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Dad’s memory.
